Congratulations to WORD Magazine for their wonderful work at the Madonnari Street Painting Festival on May 24. The festival is held every year during Memorial Day weekend at the Santa Barbara Mission. Chalk artists transform the blacktop in front of the Mission into a giant canvas of chalk art as a fundraiser for Children’s Creative Project, which brings arts to Santa Barbara’s public schools. This year WORD Magazine‘s art directors, Amanda Harris and Tomi Osawa, organized a group of chalkers who created a replica of WORD Magazine‘s winter quarter issue.
