Suitability of a particular event for the IHC Conference Rooms shall be determined by the Director 2. The IHC is intended primarily as a location for academic events involving campus departments and programs. Priority for use of the facilities will be given to the IHC, its research sub-units, and academic departments or programs in the fine arts, humanities, and social sciences. They are unavailable for use by non-academic units, student organizations, and community groups. 3. The rooms may not be used as a regular meeting place for campus departments or as a classroom for regularly scheduled classes, but may be used for one-time-only instructional events, with attendance limited to 100 persons. 4. Room Reservations are accepted 30 days prior to the beginning of instruction in the academic quarter for which they are being requested, except in the case of academic conferences that must be planned far in advance. 5. All weekend events (Saturday, Sunday) will be subject to a custodial cleaning fee. 6. Preparation of food and serving of meals is not permitted in the rooms. Catering of light foods (hors d'oeuvres, coffee and cookies, cheese and crackers) is allowed with prior approval and in accordance with Food Services, Interim Policy 6005. 7. The IHC coordinates all use and maintenance of the facilities in coordination with Physical Facilities. 8. Reservations for the rooms are obtained through the IHC by filling out the form found at www.ihc.ucsb.edu/room.html 9. Seven 6' and seven 5' folding conference tables, and 100 stacking chairs are available. If your event requires additional room setup, or for other furnishings or room rearrangement, contact Furniture Services, x2732. For audio/visual needs, the McCune Conference Room has one overhead projector, two slide projectors, a data projector, a DVD/CD player, a cassette deck, a VCR and an input for a laptop computer. For additional A/V needs contact Instructional Development, x3549. You are responsible for all rentals and must be present when they are delivered and picked up. 10. Users must furnish all other supplies, including additional chairs and tables, as necessary. Users must make appropriate arrangements with Furniture Services and are responsible for associated charges. Users should include setup and tear-down time in their request for use of the rooms. 11. The 6th floor of HSSB contains men and woman bathrooms. 12. For non-University guests, a Visitor's Parking Fee is collected in the parking lot. 13. Parking is in Lots 27 and 29, adjacent to HSSB. 14.
