Alice Fulmer (she/her) is an M.A./Ph.D. student at the University of California, Santa Barbara and poetess, pursuing a Medieval Studies emphasis. Her M.A. was conferred in June 2024, and her prospectus will consider disability studies and transfeminism in the works of Chaucer and Hoccleve. Her debut collection Faunalia (2023), on Gods and Radicals/Ritona Press, is a love letter to the great god Pan, and she is working on her sophomore poetry manuscript. Her academic publications include a book review in Science Fiction Review Association (SFRA) and an article on transgender communities and Sir Launfal (c.1400) in UCLA’s Comitatus. She is a member of the incoming cohort for the Medieval Academy of America’s 2024 Summer Mentorship fellowship, for predoctoral students.
