Alesha Claveria

Alesha Claveria received her Ph.D. from the Department of Theater and Dance. Her research focuses on contemporary Native North American drama and performance and Indigenous theory. As a member of UCSB’s American Indian and Indigenous Collective Academic Council (AIIC AC), she worked to further their efforts to strengthen university/community connections, support American Indian and Indigenous students, staff, and faculty, and advocate for Indigenous interests in local and global contexts. In Fall 2022, she began a position as Assistant Professor in the Department of American Indian Studies at California State University, Northridge.
