This graduate student conference will feature a lecture by Tat-siong Benny Liew, author of What is Asian American Biblical Hermeneutics? Liew will discuss his interdisciplinary work in the fields of religious studies, theology, Asian American studies, literary studies, sexuality studies, and ethnography. The conference will also include a workshop and panels consisting of UCSB graduate students from different departments and methodologies with the goal of pushing the boundaries of the interdisciplinary study of religion and fostering interdepartmental collaboration.
