This panel discussion includes Bracha Nir (Communication Disorders, Haifa University) and Yael Maschler (Communication/Hebrew Language, Haifa University). Bracha Nir’s research interests include inter- and intra-genre
differentiation, usage based approaches to discourse analysis and to language acquisition, and corpus linguistics. Between March 2010-March 2011 she is visiting UCSB as a Fulbright Postdoctoral fellow, during which time she is looking into the
development of language repetition and re-use in different types of discourse, from early adult-child interactions to advanced level monologic texts.
