Description: This group is concerned with the historical and contemporary experiences of people of Chicano/Latino background in the United States. Numbering some 45 million people, Chicano/Latinos have become the largest minority group in the United States. Our research studies demographic changes as well as the larger cultural and historical background of Chicano/Latinos.
